In recent months, there has been conversation in our State regarding public safety, violent crime and the prison population. Whenever such dialogue occurs, it is critical that basic facts be available to all citizens and other stakeholders engaged in the conversation. The 99th Legislative Session in Michigan

Each legislative session is two years long. The current legislative session will end in December 2018.  In Michigan, House Representatives may serve three, two-year terms for a total of six years. In the Senate, members may serve two, four-year terms.

Job Description: Under the supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, reviews and authorizes requests for warrants, determines the appropriate charge and prosecutes both misdemeanor and felony criminal cases in both the Lapeer County District and Circuit Courts. Assignments may also include juvenile/neglect & abuse/FOC matters as well as appeals.

Requirements: Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan

Salary Range: $25.51/hr ($53,060.00/yr) – $31.90/hr ($66,352.00/yr), plus other associated benefits including health care
