Welcome to the Montmorency County Prosecuting Attorney's home page!

The Prosecutor's Office wants to let you know that we are concerned about maintaining a safe community for you and your families. The Prosecuting Attorney is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the County. Some of the responsibilities of our office include:

• Authorization and Prosecution of Criminal Complaints, both Misdemeanors and Felonies
• Authorizes juvenile petitions and represents The People on Family Court matters
• Attends contested mental health commitment hearings
• Works with Department of Human Services on child abuse and neglect matters
• Presides at monthly Gun Board
• Establishes paternity, obtains child support orders
• Victim Assistance, including notification of Court hearings, Court Room accompaniment when requested, and assistance in obtaining restitution.
