Welcome to the Montcalm County Prosecuting Attorney's home page! I hope you will find the information contained here helpful. The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney represents the People of the State of Michigan prosecuting violations of felony and misdemeanor criminal laws of the State of Michigan, and County ordinance violations, committed inside the County. The Prosecutor appears for the State or County in all the courts of the County. We attend contested mental health hearings, advise the Board of Commissioners and other County departments on legal matters, preside at the monthly gun board meetings, appear on behalf of the Secretary of State for driver license restoration hearings,and attend PPO hearings when an arrest has been made. Other areas include all proceedings in Probate Court, juvenile delinquency and abuse/neglect cases on behalf of the Department of Human Services.
