Serves as an entry level Assistant Prosecutor working in a learning capacity under the supervision of the Chief Assistant Prosecutor or more experienced assistants. Emphasis of work is on legal research but also increasing assistance with and participation in the trial of criminal and juvenile cases. Works with limited but increasing independence.

Graduation from an accredited law school required. Previous professional legal experience desirable. Must be preparing for or have taken the Michigan Bar Exam. Retention of position is conditioned upon admission to the bar within a reasonable period of time. Admission to the practice of law in the State of Michigan is required to be hired at advance steps of the range as provided by County policy. Valid Michigan driver's licensed required. An official transcript depicting degree required.
