  Position Assistant Prosecuting Attorney
  Duties Under the direction of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Chief Assistant, reviews and authorizes requests for warrants, determines the appropriate charge and prosecutes criminal cases. Regularly presents criminal cases in the District Court and is assigned circuit court cases as well as Probate Court matters. Attempts to resolve and dispose of criminal cases or tries case in court.
  Requirements

Must have a Law Degree from an accredited law school. Prefer some criminal law experience. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan. Please attach a writing sample.

  Position Victim Right's Coordinator
  Duties

The Crime Victim Right's Coordinator provides services and critical information to crime victims and ensures the Ionia County Prosecutor's Office is in compliance with the Crime Victim Right's Act. The Coordinator meets with and is in frequent contact with crime victims as well as law enforcement agencies, counseling agencies, courts, probation/parole department, Michigan Department of Corrections, schools, Prosecuting Attorney's Association of Michigan and other various agencies.

The Coordinator also provides information to the public on Crime Victim's Rights, crime prevention, and the criminal justice system in general. This position will also require the Coordinator to accompany victims to all court proceedings and parole hearings, and arrange and attend meetings between the Prosecuting Attorney and victim.

  Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position is available pending county approval. The starting salary for this position is approximately $33,852.

  Position Senior Attorney in the Criminal Division
  Duties

The duties will involve handling criminal prosecutions and forfeiture actions in the Gaming and Treasury Section. It will have responsibility to review MSP gaming investigations, and initiate and prosecute criminal charges and/or forfeiture actions related to casino crimes and other gaming cases.

  Requirements

Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law, current membership in good standing with the Michigan State Bar, and a minimum of four (4) years of post bar admission legal experience as a practicing attorney.

The department is looking for a person with considerable litigation experience both in pretrial motion practice and in trail work.  Actual experience with civil and/or criminal forfeiture experience is highly desired.  The position is located in Detroit.

This position is a classified Civil Service position with full benefits including health, vision, dental, life, long term disability, defined contribution retirement program, etc.

The department is looking for a person with considerable litigation experience both in pretrial motion practice and in trail work.  Actual experience with sexual assault cases and victims; familiarity and experience working with DNA cases; and experience in training would be highly desired qualifications.  The position is located in Detroit.
